Kitchen Ready for Use
The kitchen is now cleaned, its inventory has been taken and its ready for use. This clean-up was a gift to the parish from st. Anne's Guild. Please read the new Health Department Rules & Procedures, the new guidelines, kitchen hours and Oversight Committee.
In order to maintain the upkeep, a sign-in book is now placed in the top drawer of the credenza leading into the parlor. The chairman of any event must sign in when chairing a function and be responsible for clean-up afterward.
Any questions should be directed to a member of the Kitchen Oversight Committee. The Chairperson for this committee is Lucy Sturges, (251) 666-1208. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated.
Vacation Bible School - Power Lab a great success!
Thanks to everyone who has participated in and donated to Vacation Bible School this year! The program began Monday, June 23rd and ended Friday, June 27th. The group of 41 children and 30 volunteer staff has enjoyed the theme, "Power Lab - Discovering Jesus' Miraculous Power" while making crafts, singing and playing various games all associated with the Power Lab theme. The children and staff ask that the congregation join them in a fund drive to benefit the children at Wilmer Hall by donating school supplies for students 13 years and older (such as book bags, insulated lunch bags, ballpoint pens, college-ruled paper, note cards, spiral three-subject notebooks, and new rain ponchos, twin sheet sets (neutral colors), pillows, towels and wash cloths. Cash donations for school uniforms and shoes are also sought. Martha Benton is coordinating this effort. Donations will be collected from the church parlor on Sunday, June 29.

Sewanee Dean receives a warm welcome from Trinity
The Rev. Dr. William S. Stafford received a warm welcome from our congregation on Sunday, May 18th. The Rev. Dr. Stafford preached at both services and also spoke to the adult Sunday School class, emphasizing the importance of parishioner education of our faith. Speaking specifically of EFM (Education for Ministry), Stafford praised the program and encouraged parishioners to consider participation in the theology program for lay persons. EFM is a program of theological education-at-a-distance at the School of Theology of the University of the South (Sewanee). Father and Mrs. Powers hosted Stafford in their home before both priests traveled the Diocesan Clergy Conference where The Rev. Stafford was the keynote leader and speaker for the two day gathering at Beckwith.
